Kirk Taber, Director of Brand Strategy/Principal
As Director of Brand Strategy at Taber Creative Group, Kirk continues to build upon almost 30 years of experience in public affairs, marketing, finance, and advertising. He recognizes his responsibility to work closely with clients, to understand challenges, opportunities and competitive value propositions, and above all: the goals each client has for a rewarding return on investment. Kirk directs the coordination of market research with messaging and brand strategy. He also oversees media planning, negotiations, and buying.
Prior to co-founding TCG in 1997, Kirk worked in the House of Representatives in Washington, DC, before returning home to Northern California and serving as staff in the California State Senate. There, he managed legislation and public affairs issues and served as a Senate liaison to federal, state and local government officials and agencies. Kirk remains actively involved in local non-profits and was recognized with the 2015 “Business Person of the Year” award by the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce and Gallina LLP.
Zach joined Taber Creative Group in 2005 and serves as the lead designer on all digital projects in the studio. He specializes in creative CMS website design and programming that supports and reinforces brands through engaging digital applications. From simple to complex, Zach has a unique talent for creating user-friendly and responsive digital projects. He also holds the studio record for awards in logo identity and brand development from local and national organizations!
John joined the team at Taber Creative Group in January 2013, relocating to California from Chicago, IL where he had previously served as the in-house designer and photographer for Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo.
John brings more than 10 years of professional industry experience to TCG having worked within ad agencies and in-house marketing departments. His specialties include print design and photography. Since joining TCG, John has managed the monthly design and production of the League of California Cities’ monthly magazine, Western City.
Cindy Sutton, Director of Client Services
Cindy joined the team at Taber Creative Group as our Marketing Associate in February 2017. She assists with responsibilities on behalf of clients in a broad capacity including project and social media management, copywriting, research, reporting, and campaign analysis.
Cindy brings a robust and well-rounded educational background to TCG, having earned her Associate Degree in Applied Art and Design from Sierra Community College in Rocklin and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Sacramento State University.
A recent college graduate, Gianna joined the team at Taber Creative Group in October 2020. She supports the team with social media management, copywriting, research, and reporting.
Gianna’s previous experience includes social media marketing, website layout, and email marketing for UC Santa Barbara. There, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Global Studies as well as a Minor in German. Additionally, she furthered her professional experience in Berlin, Germany while attending Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.
